The Oculus

I was happy to write another article for KCRW's DnA: Design & Architecture blog this week. This time, I focused on architect Santiago Calatrava's much talked about Oculus, which is the centerpiece of the new WTC Transportation Hub.

I had a nice time walking around the area on Wednesday and snapping a few pictures to accompany the piece. Once the construction is eventually complete, the neighborhood will flow rather nicely. Although the outside of the structure is a little funky, the amazing reveal of the interior of The Oculus as you enter the main hallway from the PATH Train is pretty spectacular.
